ABILITY Magazine (AM) and ABILITY
Awareness (AA) both offer unique and diverse opportunities
for undergraduate juniors and seniors, recent graduates, and
graduate/professional students who are interested in health,
disability and human potential issues. The internship program
has special appeal for those who wish to combine academic
study with practical application and experience.
Internships are offered throughout the year to undergraduate
juniors and seniors, recent graduates, and graduate/professional
students who have demonstrated superior academic ability and
who have course work, professional or personal experience,
and career interests related to disability issues. AM and
AA welcomes students from colleges and universities throughout
the United States and abroad.
Graduate Assistantship Program
AM and AA Graduate Assistantship Program offers a limited
number of stipends to graduate and professional students who
have completed at least one year of graduate study. The stipend
is $1,500 for a 12-week, min 20-hour-per-week term.
Application Procedures
Many students receive academic credit
for their internships through their university or college.
Those who wish to receive academic credit should indicate
so on the application and provide an internship supervisor's
name and address. The necessary forms from the academic institution
must be submitted upon acceptance to the program.
AM and AA are dedicated to ensuring a relationship of mutual
benefit with its interns. We welcome your e
mails and any further questions you may have.
